 Energistics November Notes
Alternative energy got a real boost with the overwhelming victory for President-Elect Obama. He wasted no time in promoting his green agenda, when in his acceptance speech he said that climate change was a ‘top priority’. He made it clear that the environment and energy security needs will take precedent over nuclear and oil. While it is doubtful that climate change legislation will pass easily, it does mean that the Federal Government will become as active as the states in the development of alternative energy policy.
In the private sector, investment in cleantech continues, but the global financial impact is beginning to have an effect on the availability of funds for large alternative energy projects.
